2019 Marquette Grand Reserve



An experimental small batch of Marquette fermented with double skin contact and "fattened" with 5% Appassimento Amarone Corvina grapes imported from Verona, Italy giving this wine an unparalleled richness. The wine was frozen at -20C to remove water ice slush thinness which further increased the richness and alcohol percentage of the remaining wine resulting in an immediate 20% loss of the entire vintage. Aged in Missouri and Burgundy oak, the wine has rich and complex notes of cherry, white pepper, dark chocolate, sandalwood, tobacco, vanilla and spice.
