Our team spent the last two days stringing half a kilometer of lights around the grapevines/vineyard and the ice trail. This is an image of what it looked like this evening. You can see the winery in the background in the distance. Absolutely magical!
COMING SOON!
“Northern Lights Ice Skate Trail” at Potter Settlement Artisan Wines Inc.
There’s a reason why there’s only a handful of ice skate trails in Ontario. You’d need:
1. Close access to a LOT of water to constantly flood and build up ice on your trails.
2. A tractor with a snowblower and blade to clean a long skating route.
3. A trail groomer.
4. A water tote with perforated lines, water pump, trailers, 1000 feet of fire hoses.
5. A picturesque and natural forested landscape with LEVEL roads.
6. A wide landscape roller to flatten the trail.
7. Leaf blowers to clean any snow that accumulates on the trail.
8. A lot of labor.
9. An investment in lights (for night skating)
We are hard at work on our new Northern Lights Ice Skate Trail and we want to make this the prettiest trail in Ontario. Stay tuned! We will keep you posted!

Is your skating trail open yet? looking forward to coming out.
